The “easy climb way”:
Go out the main gate and TURN RIGHT onto the TAR and head towards the Sudwala Caves. TURN RIGHT up the Sabie Road (R539) for about 1km and turn LEFT onto a dirt road @ Mikon’s FARM GATE. You can now link onto the Pink / Orange / Green Red / Purple route.

The “not so easy climb way”: 
The fun starts as soon as you have gone over the BRIDGE and out the MAIN GATE; you have a nice DROP INN to the right, to get you on some awesome flowing single track next to the river. After you have crossed the river again, you will have a short climb and then at the split TURN LEFT. Up an unforgiving climb, this will take you to the MAMBA TUNNEL. Go under two table tops, until you reach a small farm tar road. At the split, TURN LEFT up to the jeep track. This climb will test you, but the single track will make it worth it! Sharp turn to the right, at the top of the climb. TURN LEFT, up the fire break. TURN RIGHT into pine forest single track. TURN LEFT when you drop onto the dirt road. Follow the road until you get a split in the road. TURN LEFT and enjoy the climb. The road will split again, TURN LEFT and keep climbing. Follow the road and at the next split, TURN RIGHT. This will lead you straight into single track. Turn left into the road after the single track. Keep going, the tuff stuff is still coming! You get three steep climbs, then the road turns RIGHT onto a firebreak. Follow the firebreak until you find single track on the RIGHT. The single track will take you up a firebreak (you can do it!) The firebreak leads you onto a road on the left. The road keeps descending until you turn off, on the RIGHT. This takes you to a fun section of single track. At the end of the single track TURN RIGHT. Then LEFT onto a jeep track. Keep a look out for single track on the LEFT. Go straight over the road, then TURN RIGHT and follow the road all the way down. TURN RIGHT at the bottom when you reach the TAR road. Look out for the single track on your LEFT SIDE. The single track will lead you straight to the MAIN TAR ROAD. Be careful and CROSS the TAR ROAD. Follow the road up until you reach the split at the compound. TURN LEFT and follow the road, until you reach the district road and TURN RIGHT. This road will take you past Mayo Estate. When you get to the downhill section, keep your eyes open for the MOUNT CARMEL sign on your RIGHT. Follow this road until you get to the split in the road, right after a downhill & short, steep climb. TURN LEFT and follow the road until you get an extremely steep climb. After the climb, TURN RIGHT. Follow the road until you see the single track on the LEFT. At the end of the single track TURN RIGHT. This road will take you all the way up a long technical climb. At the four way crossing, TURN RIGHT and then LEFT. The road flattens out, until you get to the last climb at the tower. Take a minute to enjoy the magnificent view! Then follow the road, until you get to the single track on the LEFT HAND SIDE. This wicked single track will lead you straight onto a forestry road. Follow the road until you get to the gum single track on the LEFT. When you reach the forestry road, follow the road until you get to a split. At the split you can choose the “easy way back” or the “bush tunnel” route.

The way back via the “bush tunnel” (Technical)
TURN RIGHT, this road is fast & flat. Half way up a short climb you will see single track on your LEFT. Follow the single track down to the bush tunnel. Be cautious! This is a huge drop & extremely dangerous. There is a chicken run, on the left. Follow the bush tunnel & cross the tar road. There is a drop on the other side, of the tar road. Follow the road until you reach the single track on your RIGHT. This single track will take you over a tar road and past a farm house on your left. Follow the single track and when you get to the MIKON MAIN GATE. Go out and CROSS the Sabie road. TURN RIGHT into the single track, which will take you back to the start.

The “easy way back”
TURN LEFT and follow the road until you see the chicken runs (chicken farm). TURN LEFT and follow the road down, past the chicken runs. This road will take you in the direction towards Mankele. Look out for the single track on the LEFT. When you come out of the single track, you will have a short steep climb. TURN LEFT at the top and follow the road until you get the single track on the RIGHT. This single track will take you over a tar road and past a farm house on your left. Follow the single track and when you get to the MIKON MAIN GATE. Go out and CROSS the Sabie road. TURN RIGHT into the single track, which will take you back to the start.
